You are on a courageous journey of self-exploration, healing and empowerment. My commitment to you is to foster a space where you feel witnessed and heard. Our work together will be tailored to meet you where you are in your healing process and together we will formulate the best therapeutic approach to meet your needs.
I specialize in working with clients that feel “lost” and “disconnected” to the world around them due to trauma. It is not uncommon for these feelings to manifest through substance abuse, eating disorders, and unhealthy relationships.
Those that work with me find that I am truly committed to providing a safe, healing, non-judgmental, and uplifting environment. Choosing to seek help in your recovery is an extremely personal investment and I value our time together. I believe that tapping into joy and embracing your inner child is vital to therapeutic engagement and recovery. This means that we will often explore your presenting issues with a playful curiosity.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a credentialed art and equine therapist. I am a certified EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) psychotherapist. I have received advanced training in Biofeedback, Trauma Recovery and Empowerment (TREM), Attachment Trauma and Development of Dissociative Disorders, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Recovery Planning, Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment, and Crisis Intervention. I have extensive experience as a rehabilitative therapist, acute care clinician, life coach, sobriety coach, and career counselor. I am also the Director of Integrative Trauma Psychotherapy and Victim Advocacy Services for a non-profit organization.I received my undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross and a Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy from Albertus Magnus College.
